The SH Excellence Chair Teams of the various Recruitment Rounds
2nd Round 2022/2023 SH Excellence Chair Teams
The SH Excellence Chair program is entering its second round. It will fund four outstanding scientists. Each SH-Chair will be funded with 1.2 million euros over six years, to support medical research and to establish a junior research group with a junior professorship.
Kiel University (CAU) is also establishing an Excellence Chair at the interface of life science and clinical research. This SH Chair, located in the CAU priority research area Kiel Life Science (KLS), is funded by the state university with similar funding characteristics as the other SH chairs and fits perfectly within the established Schleswig-Holstein Excellence Chair program.
1st Round 2016 – SH Excellence Chair Teams
In 2015, the universities of Kiel and Lübeck announced eight Schleswig-Holstein Excellence Chairs in a joint competition. The Schleswig-Holstein Excellence Chairs selected in the first round are characterized by outstanding achievements in the field of inflammation research. Each SH Chair was funded with 1.2 million euros over six years, including for the establishment of a junior research group.
