What is Precision Health in Schleswig-Holstein?
Precision Health in Schleswig-Holstein is a governance structure at the direct interface between the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH), the Kiel University (CAU) and the Universität of Lübeck (UzL) to strengthen clinical-translational research projects in precision medicine.
The need for future-proof and sustainable university medicine is clear and applies beyond Schleswig-Holstein. Research in the field of precision medicine is characterized by a tension between the profitability of a maximum care provider and the highly competitive and cost-intensive field of translational research. PHSH is a breathing structure. Self-renewal and transparency are important elements and part of the processes that PHSH organizes.
