87 participants at the Clinician Scientist Winter School in Scharbeutz
On November 28 and 29, the Clinician Scientist Winter School took place in Scharbeutz for the second time. In addition to presentations and poster contributions from the Clinician Scientists themselves, the program featured an engaging guest lecture by Professor Marion Subklewe from LMU Munich on immunotherapies for hematologic malignancies. Following the scientific lecture, Professor Subklewe provided a more personal perspective with a talk titled "Between Clinic, Laboratory, and Family – Transforming Structures in Academic Medicine." The presentation of the mentoring program, initiated by the Kiel Academy, rounded off the first day’s agenda.
On the second day, the Clinician Scientists had the opportunity to engage in a dialogue with UKSH CEO Professor Jens Scholz under the theme "What do Clinician Scientists need from UKSH?" The Winter School concluded with an introduction to various research collaborations in Kiel and Lübeck and a brief idea workshop for the upcoming PHSH Shared Campus Award call for proposals.
