In the first round of the PHSH Shared Campus Awards 2024, five projects by clinician scientists at the University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH) were honored and funded this year. The teams each receive €10,000 to jointly implement a project they have outlined. The requirement for the application was a cooperation between a clinician scientist from Kiel and a clinician scientist from Lübeck.

In the run-up to the call, the clinician scientists had the opportunity to get to know each other at the Clinician Scientist Winter School 2023 and develop their project ideas. They now have 12 months to realize their projects.

The certificates for the award winners were presented at a ceremony in Lübeck on Thursday, July 18, 2024. Professor Doreen Richardt, newly elected Vice President of the Schleswig-Holstein Medical Association, welcomed the participants to the event and Professor Christine Klein (Institute of Neurogenetics, Campus Lübeck) gave a keynote lecture on “Clinician Scientist Programs - Local and International Perspectives on Career Development”.
